At Guinto, safeguarding is at the heart of our recruitment process. We operate a rigorous safer recruitment procedure in line with Ofsted and CQC expectations, ensuring every candidate is thoroughly vetted before being placed within residential childcare or adult social care services.

Our recruitment process includes the completion of detailed application forms, verification of qualifications and training, confirmed Right to Work documentation, and Enhanced DBS checks with Update Service verification completed prior to deployment.

We obtain a full employment history from the age of 16 onwards, with all gaps in employment fully explored and verified. References are obtained for all previous care related roles to ensure a clear understanding of each candidate's experience, conduct, and suitability to work with vulnerable individuals.

In addition, all candidates complete a face to face interview before being approved for assignments, allowing us to assess their values, communication skills, professionalism, and overall suitability for care environments. At Guinto, we leave no stone unturned when it comes to safer recruitment.

This includes specialist training in areas such as Knife Crime, County Lines and Exploitation, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), PACE, safeguarding, first aid, medication administration, recording and reporting, and other sector specific learning.

We are also committed to continuous professional development through our in house training programme, which provides staff with monthly bite sized learning sessions delivered during team meetings, refreshing knowledge, promoting best practice, and keeping staff informed on emerging risks and legislative changes.

  • Code of Conduct: All staff are expected to uphold the highest standards of ethical behaviour and to report any suspicions of modern slavery to management immediately.

You consent to Guinto conducting all necessary compliance checks required for care sector placements, including enhanced DBS checks, right to work verification, reference checks, and training record reviews. You must not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or suitability for any role.

4.4 No Fees

Guinto does not charge candidates any fees for registration, job seeking, or placement services.

4.5 Conduct

If placed with a Client, you are expected to conduct yourself professionally and in accordance with the standards required in the care sector. You must comply with all relevant policies of the Client organisation, including safeguarding, confidentiality, and code of conduct policies.

5. Client Terms

5.1 Engaging Our Services

By instructing Guinto to source candidates, you agree to these terms. A binding contract is formed when we accept your instruction in writing or by commencing the provision of services.

5.2 Accuracy of Requirements

You must provide accurate and complete information about the role, working conditions, and requirements. You must inform us of any changes that affect the suitability of candidates we have introduced.

5.3 Engagement of Introduced Candidates

If you engage a Candidate introduced by Guinto — whether directly, through another agency, or through any associated party — within 12 months of our introduction, our fees become payable in full. This applies to any form of engagement including permanent employment, temporary work, and consultancy.

5.4 Safeguarding

Clients operating in the care sector are responsible for ensuring that all Guinto-placed workers are appropriately supervised and supported in accordance with safeguarding legislation, CQC/Ofsted requirements, and their own internal policies.

Our fees are agreed in writing prior to commencement of services. Invoices are payable within 30 days of the date of invoice unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to charge interest on late payments in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

7. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential all information received from the other in connection with the provision of recruitment services, except where disclosure is required by law or regulatory authority. Candidate information must not be shared with third parties without Guinto's prior written consent.

8. Data Protection

Both parties agree to comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 in respect of all personal data processed in connection with these terms. Please see our Privacy Policy for details of how we process personal data.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We do not warrant that any Candidate will be suitable for your requirements
  • Our total liability to you (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) shall not exceed the fees paid by you to us in the preceding 12 months
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including loss of profit or business

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, and branding, is owned by or licensed to Guinto Recruitment & Support Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
